I have a growing collection of vintage film cameras that I’ve acquired over the years. I’ve bought a couple myself- like my Polaroid SX-70’s and Pentax K1000 for example- but most of them have been handed down to me by friends and family. I love learning about these old devices and what they might’ve been used for. For example, I have a Kodak from the early 1900s that is widely known as the “Soldier’s Camera” for its reputation of being used in the First World War. Whenever I add a new camera to the collection I do my best to restore it to like-new condition with some precise cleaning, paint, repairs, and polishing.
